5 WAYS TO SCRAPBOOK A TEEN BOY

Although most parents tend to create scrapbooks for their newborns and toddlers, there is no reason why one should stop as they grow older. Once your child reaches his teenage years, there actually are more stories that can be told. Here are some cool ideas for scrapbooking a teenage boy, and we have listed five things that can be included.

#1 Begin with a good-looking portrait

While it may be hard to coax your teen into taking a nice photo for you, your diligent effort will definitely pay off. Begin the scrapbook with a clear portrait of your teenage boy. A pose with his head lifted will give off the vibe that he is looking forward to his future. If your boy is more introverted, a looking down pose may seem more intellectual.

#2 Focus on your teen’s activities
The teenage period is when youngsters go out to explore their hobbies and interests. If your son is in a rock band, go to one of his shows and snap a photo. If he is a math whiz at school, glue a copy of his A+ exams into the book. If he is an aspiring pro-athlete, be sure to cheer him on the sidelines with your camera.

#3 Family tree

Building a family tree in your scrapbook will showcase your son’s position within the family. However, do not just place emphasis on the hierarchy of familial relationships. Rather, his “position” in the family can be expressed in many ways. Snap the moment he reads a book to his younger sister. Or when he cooks with his cousins. Or when he plays ball with dad.

#4 His teenage quotes
We all know that teenagers nowadays speak another language. Sometimes it is fun to record them and decipher their cryptic meaning. Teenagers also have a knack of coming up with the most bizarre ideas. Log the different intriguing things he says, and you two will have a fun time in future years to laugh over at his once foolish ideas.

#5 Handmade crafts

When he brings things he has handmade from school, it should be a no-brainer to add that to his teen album. Collect all of his handcrafted mother’s day cards and birthday cards. These are things that money can’t buy, and they can be safely preserved in a scrapbook.
