5 MUST-HAVE SCRAPBOOK TOOLS

Scrapbook really is one of the most hands-on arts and craft activity out there. With sections and sections at art supply stores dedicated just to this art, it is no wonder it has gained so much popularity over the years. However, to make a beautiful scrapbook, you need the right tools. We have made a list for the scrapbooking beginners to get themselves set for the job.

#1 White pencil

If you notice, most blank store-bought scrapbooks have colored pages and even paper in darker shades. For the latter, you would need a white pencil to make marks as you measure where to place your images. Another alternative would be using gel pens. If you were working with light or white pages, a regular 2B pencil would suffice.

#2 Rubber stamps
One of our favorite tools on hand, rubber stamps can add a crafty vibe to any project. It is best to invest into a full set of twenty-four characters, in a font that catches your eye. That way, you will be able to spell any word in the dictionary. To make good use of them, try using the stamps with vibrant colors and metallic inks to inject artistic details to your scrapbook.

#3 Utility knife
This is perhaps one of the most used gadgets in our scrapbooking toolbox. More flexible than scissors, utility knife can cut straight lines for a neat edge or carve out intricate paper designs. While it come in different brands and sizes, try to purchase one that is sturdy enough to cut through cardboard so that it can come in handy for multiple circumstances.

#4 Rub-on lettering
If you did not know that rub-on lettering existed, it might be a sign that you should go out for art supply shopping more. These letters and numbers are sold in various fonts and sizes, and are extremely easy to use. With a beautiful, professional finishing – it also looks much neater than most handwriting.

#5 Photo adhesive tape
Not just any regular double-sided tape, acid-free photo tape is safe to be utilized on your collection of images. Without the hideous distracting look of tape poking out, this type of adhesive will help keep images appearing neat and safely intact.
